 Here's some misc. information on the show.


- ER was almost a movie made by Michael Crichton and Steven Spielberg, but Crichton suggested they make 'Jurrassic Park' instead.

- TPTB knew that Maria Bello (Anna Del Amico) was only going to stay for one season? Yet, they still didn't give her a proper goodbye.

- Often times, you can see the names of the actors (ie: Margulies) up on the patient board as a joke.

- George's Clooney's agent didn't know that George was going to be on Such Sweet Sorrow until the morning before it was shown on TV.

- Laura Innes and Anthony Edwards have directed episodes of ER.

- Both Ricky Martin and Sandra Bullock were at one point rumored to be joining the cast.

- ER had been asked to join in on a Law & Order/Homicide crossover, but they declined.

- Paul McCrane was in the movie Fame. Erica Gimpel (who plays Adele Newman on ER), was in the tv series Fame.

- In the episode "Secret and Lies", Susan mentions the movie "Fame", which Paul McCrane was in. Susan also sings part the song "Body Electric", which is what Paul is initially famous for doing in "Fame".

- In "Secrets and Lies", Luka quotes "Hamlet" in Croatian. Goran Visnjic is invovled with the play when he visits his home country each year.

-Both Noah Wyle and Goran Visnjic took fencing, and their skills are displayed in "Secrets and Lies".

-When Carol was leaving on the airplane to Seattle, the stewardess was Julianna's sister Alexandra.

-In the movie Scottland, P.A. the actor that plays Maura Tierney's husband played Max, Anna's boyfriend in season 4.

-The surgical scrub room originally had two rows of sinks. In season five they made it an island with 4 sinks and a shelf, presumably to accomidate the increased number of surgeons on the show.

- Amy Aquino, who plays Dr. Coburn, is in the movie White Oleander with Noah Wyle.

- Goran Visnjic was a voice in Ice Age as was Stephen Root who was on News Radio with Maura Tierney.

- The show began being presented in widescreen during season 7, with the episode "The Visit.

- The movie See Jane Run (TV) features both Laura Innes, and Yvonne Zima (the original Rachel Greene).

- Before either Maura Tierney or Paul McCrane were on the show, Maura was in the movie "Primal Fear" (with Richard Gere and Edward Norton) in which her character sits at a computer and looks at a list of names. One of these names is Robert Romano (ironic, huh?).

- The episode "Motherhood" (Season 1), in which Susan's sister has her baby, was directed by Quentin Tarantino of Resevoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, and Kill Bill fame.
